Reinforced graphite tape.
Chesterton 1600 is a Graphite tape showered onto a compact strand specially designed to control superior leakage. Each piece is reinforced with An Inconel wire mesh covering a solid but flexible. The outside of the packaging is then closely affected by the lubricating agent to prevent pitting of corrosion inhibitors and reducing stem agents. 1600 is almost identical to Chesterton 1601, but the only difference is that 1600 is designed to meet the purity requirements of the nuclear industry.
