Most Victor Reinz materials show a confirmed gas-tightness that materials containing asbestos; certain types can be tenfold better.
· Their chemical resistance is in every case better than that of asbestos products, up to the temperature limit of 150-200 Co.
· Due to their lower chloride content, they suffer less CORROSION damage, increasing the safety of sealing effect. The surfaces of sealing sheets are distributed with anti-stick finish, and therefore there is no need for subsequent treatment (e.g. greasing).
· As a result of their relative high compressibility, REINZ - AFM materials FIT very well to uneven sealing surfaces, their macros and micro splice capacities are outstanding. As compared to previous seals (e.g. asbestos), you can choose a thickness smaller by a whole size.
The CHEMICAL RESISTANCE of AFM materials is better in general than that of materials containing asbestos.
The AFM materials undergo a series of tests before they are adopted for regular use. For instance, tests to establish their gas-tightness, thermal load capacity and compressibility. Their main application areas include compressors, pipelines, pumps, armatures, etc. in automobile, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil, food and other industries.
